If You Need to Seek Help
If you or someone you know may be suffering from any mental health problem, it is important not to go through it alone. But oftentimes, people don’t understand the warning signs or are too self-conscious to seek help. It’s OK. It’s not your fault! All of us need a little help sometimes, so we want you to know where to look for it.
Sometimes it can help just to find someone you can talk to. Find a family member or a friend with whom you can share your concerns. If you don’t feel comfortable with that, there are also many mental health professionals out there who can help, and you should not be ashamed about reaching out to them! You may be surprised to find how many people care and are willing to help.
If and when you need to consult with a professional or just find more information regarding a certain mental health issue, please reference the following list of websites and organizations—and there are many more provided for you in BEHIND HAPPY FACES.
